Acid-peptic disorder: It sounds like you have acid over-production causing irritation to the lining of your stomach. This is what is happening between meals when your stomach is empty. When you have food in your stomach, the food covers over any open or eroded areas, and then your stomach lining is protected against the irritation of acid. Take zantac (ranitidine) or Prilosec and avoid spicy or other irritating foods to help this.
