I have a herpes outbreak on my butt, above the crack. what is the best over-the-counter medication - without hydrocortisone - for curing that?

None: Herpes infection can be controlled but not cured, sometimes a Acyclovir cream/ointment is used to alleviate the symptoms but will not cure the disease. Suppressive therapy oral acyclovir/valcyclovir can decrease the rate of recurrence but will not cure it either.

Nothing OTC : Unfortunately there are no otc meds which will cure this...A prescription antiviral will assist with healing but will not cure it.
