A member asked:

Define long-term cocaine use? with rec use during college & months of nonuse in between what's the liklihood of permanent damage? no use since then.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unable to say: I have seen people who used Cocaine for years on an episodic basis have a heart attack after using the same amount they have always used. I have also seen deaths from apparent cardiac arrhythmias under the same kind of circumstances. Also depends on route of administration - snorting, injecting or smoking. You also don't know what its cut with - levamisole has caused deaths in the us.
