? torn meniscus : The buckling could be indicate of a deeper inner knee injury such as a torn meniscus. Hopefully not & just due to joint effusion (inflammatory fluid). Consulting your doctor for an exam is recommended. Often times from exam alone we can diagnose or at least suspect what the problem could be. Sometimes an x-ray and/or us is needed. Persistence of the problem requires MRI & orthopedic referral.
