Does having a vitamin d deficiency for the past 34 years of my life cause weak bones or a faster case of osteoporosis or stunted height during puberty? i hear vitamin d helps absorbs calcium better in the blood stream?

You can actually check your bone density if you really need to know the answer to that question, there is a test for that takes a while to do and hard to interpret, but can be very helpful…

Vitamin D is essential for calcium absorption and metabolism. Deficiency in childhood causes ricket and in adults it results on osteomalacia.
