Just been prescribed enalapril 5mg, for s1 ht cardiologist said blood and ultrasound good, and to go back in 6 mnths, do i not need blood test sooner?

Hypertension: Annual blood work should suffice if your current tests were normal. Consider a home BP monitor and check once or twice weekly . Normal BP should be 120/80. Reduce salt intake, exercise and maintain a good weight with bmi of 25.
