A member asked:

We have 4 daughters how can we have a son?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No way to know: The gender of a baby is determined by the father's chromosomes. The mother has xx type and the father has xy type. If the baby gets an x from mom and dad, it will be a girl. If the baby gets an x from mom and y from dad, it will be a boy. There is no easy way to insure this will happen except in in vitro fertilization. It's mostly just the luck of the draw!
