I have ibs with both diariaha and constipation . i have started dropping out of my favorite things because it is uncontrollable diariaha. what can i do to get relief? i've cut out a lot of foods.

You need workup: Ibs is a loose term, no pun intended. You need a GI workup and food allergy testing.

Given your symptom: Severity & age, you should see a doctor, or get a second opinion if you've been seen recently. If diarrhea is simply ibs, a med like Cholestyramine might help. There are other possible treatments as well. But i'd want to also check gall bladder, thyroid, potential medication side effects, intestinal tract for obstruction, pancreas, neuroendocrine tumors, etc. Also consider a 'pill cam' test.
