Shoulder issue: You may have rotator cuff problem (complete vs. Partial tear) or tendinitis of some muscles in the shoulder (biceps, for example) or sometimes it may be an overuse. It may not be a bad idea to see a doc to rule things out.

Inflammation: You may just have some inflammation in the shoulder. Try a nsaid(ibuprofen, etc). If pain continues seek medical evaluation.
