I have green eyes and my husband has brown. our son is almost 2weeks old. i know it's early but what are the chances he'll have light colored eyes?

50/50: I don't think anyone can tell you exactly what the odds are. In addition, there isn't much you can do about it. Give it time and you'll find out exactly what color they will be.

Depends: Blue eyes are a recessive genetic trait, meaning you need a blue eye gene from each parent. A dominant trait requires only one copy of the gene. If you have green eyes, you likely carry both a brown and a blue gene. While your husband has brown eyes, a dominant gene, if he also has a blue eye gene, there is a 1 in 4 chance you're son could end up with blue eyes.
