Possibly: Synvisc (hylan g-f 20) doesn't work to everyone.

Maybe: Synvisc (hylan g-f 20) is an off label use in the hip. Insurance typically does not pay for it in the hip for this reason. It tends to work very well in the knee and the hip for mild to moderate arthritis although typically it is given in the 2cc mixture in the hip and not the 6cc synvisc-one mixture. It helps to recreate the normal viscosity of the joint fluid / hydrate remaining cartilage (covering on bone).
