Depends on reason: For the pain. If it is musculoskeletal origin, then rest, ibuprofen, massage. If it persists for more than a week time to see the doctor. Also, if you develop numbness or tingling or weakness in arms or legs, it means your nerves are affected, so you need to see the doctor.
