It's a calling: Similar to other professions that are dedicated to helping people, physicians are rewarded daily with the warm feeling of doing something meaningful for someone else. The challenge of solving metabolic and anatomical problems is stimulating as well, but it's really about serving others.

Solve for X: Being a physician is the ultimate puzzle-solving game. I have puzzles at home, I have puzzles in my car, and I have puzzles at work. I love having the knowledge, ability, & experience in helping people to find the answers to their puzzles. Some are easier than others, & others take quite a bit of trials & errors. Above all, it is a privilege & an honor to be in a role where people can trust me.
