Gray area of vision in lower quadrant of one eye that lasts anout 5 minutes then goes away?

Definitely get exam: This could be anything from a visual migraine to a tia. The fact that the gray area is in a quadrant does suggest a possible cerebral problem (visual pathways in the brain rather than from the eye itself), but a direct problem in the eye is still possible. An eye exam by an ophthalmologist and possibly a visual field test will help to determine the cause.

Seek eval quickly: This can be life threatening. It can also represent brain aneurysm or tumor. Seek ophthalmologist shortly.
