Way to go: Congratulations on your commitment to your health. I would recommend low impact exercises such as walking, biking and swimming. In addition i would recommend resistance exercises starting with high repetition lower weight as this is associated with lower risk for injury.

Exercise to lose fat: Walking. Walking briskly enough to get your heart rate to 130 beats per minute. And then maintaining that heart rate for thirty to sixty minutes/ day. Then combine that with a limited 1800 calorie/day diet made up mostly of protein calories. And you will find success.
