Needs exam: It's hard to say what your problem is without examining you, but a stabbing pain in the left side with movement could be a muscle injury, which isn't uncommon after delivery (especially if prolonged or difficult labor). Many other possibilities include rib fractures, ulcers, splenic infarct , zoster (shingles) to name a few. If this is troublesome you should see your doctor for an evaluation.
