0% simple: You really don't need to consume any simple carbohydrates for optimal health. Complex carbohydrates are where it's at.

See below: Generally (unless you are dieting), carbs represent approximately 30% - 50% of your caloric intake. Complex carbs must be broken down to simple carbs to facilitate absorption (i.e. Simple carbs are easier to absorb).
