Complicated: Some are because insect bites are more frequent in warmer climates, people then scratch them and by breaking the barrier created by intact skin create the opportunity for entry of the bacteria. You also perspire more in hot climates and this may increase bacterial release from sweat glands, but this is only theoretical.
