Probable Abcess: Usually a tooth abscess presents either with a fluid filled (pus) bump in the gum on the outside or inside, palate on the top, of a tooth where the root tips are.

Abscess or cyst: This could be an abscess from one of your teeth near the bump or a cyst or growth from a minor salivary gland as they are found in the palate. You should have this looked at by an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.

Have area checked: The picture indicates a 'bump' in the midline of hard palate-this is usually not indicative of an infection but rather it appears to be a palatal torus- a benign bony lesion. If a bump appears on palate close to a tooth it is usually a result of an infection from an adjacent tooth. Other options could be a salivary gland tumor.
