Coating: This coating can most likely be removed by using a toothbrush on your tongue daily. Your tongue can also build up a plaque from bacteria, dead cells and perhaps food debris. A tongue scraper purchased at your local pharmacy or supermarket works even better. If need be, see your dentist for further help.

See your dentist : You need to have this evaluated if it is different than what you normally see in the morning on your tongue. If you don't scrape your tongue well or brush it well it could just be a buildup of the bacteria from not being cleaned enough.Try this first and if no relief go to the dentist because it could be a symptom of an underlying condition. A dentist will tell you after a physical exam.
