A member asked:

I have high blood pressure. i take telmisartan and pantoprazale regularly. what are its side effects? are they safe? how to lower my blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ARB: Telmisartan is the generic name of micardis- an angiotensin receptor blocker working in your kidney to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure. It's absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy. Otherwise, side effects are rare. Pantoprazole is the generic name of protonix, (pantoprazole) a proton pump inhibitor that reduces gastric acid production. It has no effect on BP and also is usually well tolerated.
