Almost anytime: Micardis (telmisartan) is considered a 24hr med. Taking 1/2 2X a day is done by careful doctors who know it leads to a more stable level. The company is unfair not to score these drugs so that you could take 1/2 of a 40 2X a day. Your BP should not be varying too much after a few days by this technique, but worth carrying out to check.

Review directions: Micardis (telmisartan) is usually dosed once per day. Recommended initial dose is 40mg daily. Available in 20 mg, 40mg 80mg doses. May be administered without regard to meals. Most patients take it in the am but some take in the pm. Onset of action is 1 to 2 hours. Duration up to 24 hours. Hepatic metabolism. AHA advises log bp same time every day. I like different times especially after midnight. Talk to dr.
