If i had a stitch abscess on my elbow, would the stitch be visible in an mri? if the abscess were drained would it fill back up? quickly?

The suture: Itself will not be seen. Staples can show up as metal artifact. A drained abscess usually resolves as antibiotic therapy is given at the same time. So, usually the abscess shouldn't come back.
