Yes: Nosebleeds can be common especially in people with nasal allergies which are often associated with asthma. However if nosebleeds continue, he should see his doctor.

Your son should: be seen in the office, by a family doctor or not. He should avoid blowing his nose, and picking at it. Those are the most common reasons for which people make it nosebleeds, on top of that the weather and the dryness from the heating systems here in Montréal make it so that it's much better to have a humidifier. But he needs to be seen in office regardless. By ORL/ENT physician or family physician
