Possibly: If the sinus infection is accompanied by fever, sweats, and ill feeling probabl;y should be evaluated by a physician prior to starting antibiotics most sinus infections are virall but may if present long enough may turn into bacterial infection.

Usually: Usually resolves on its own. Antibiotics are not usually needed, often overused, and can be dangerous.
