Important: This is a very important time for both you and your newborn baby. During this time, your placenta will be delivered and any lacerations will be repaired. Your vital signs will be monitored closely as will your bleeding pattern. Bonding time with your baby will also begin immediately, which is a very important natural experience. Pediatrians will also monitor your baby very closely.
