Maybe,maybe not: The american academy of pediatrics recommends breast milk of formula until 1yo. Kids may thrive if started at 9 mo if they have a diverse diet rich in iron & other nutrients from cereals & vegetables.. Whole milk is a bit irritating to the infant gut & should be limited to 16-24 oz/day or it can produce anemia.
