A 26-year-old male asked:
Hi doctor. my baby is just over 4 months old. she is not drinking much of breast milk nor formula milk nowadays. however, she seems interested in food we eat. we have started to give her puree food as well like once a day, and she seems to enjoy?

Some basics: We do hope infants will be drawn to try table food over time but it is neither needed or balanced enough to assure proper growth & development that young. Breast milk or formula is balanced for infant growth. We prefer to avoid advancing to solid feeds until they sit & their tongue thrust subsides at ~6 mo. People will do what they will do, but don't expect anyone to praise you for doing so.
