Psychiatrist: You need to coordinate with your psychiatrist the when and how to do it right. It will go away, sometimes medication is needed.

Agitated psych. Depr: Depression during nicotine withdrawal is common. However, psychosis is not. I would have other causes of psychosis ruled out by your doctors. You may be a candidate for wellbutrin (bupropion) to prevent the depression. Any psychosis and agitation can be treated as well. I think you should see a psychiatrist who specializes in addictionology. I would recommend and eegg and ct scan of the head.

Get help: Rage/ psychosis are not normal symptoms for nicotine withdrawal. Problems concentrating, anxiety, restlessness, mood swings, depressed or anxious mood & irritability may occur. Strongly recommend expedited psychiatric help if you are developing symptoms of psychosis.
