Nicotine effects: Our body becomes used to nicotine and feels the loss when you quit. (Addiction) The physical w/drawal only lasts ~1 week - but the psychological habit can be very long lasting. There are mental/mood/energy issues and appetite/sleep changes. None are what most folk like. But they only last awhile unless we allow our psychological neediness to take over. Nicotine is an active/interactive substance.
