A member asked:

Can 'benign breast tissue with lactational change' cause a vascular 7x4mm hypoechoic area on ultrasound?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can't Answer this: Your biopsy was performed in an area that was of concern on mammogram, ultrasound, or both. The pathology report has to be correlated with those imaging studies. If there is a concern that the biopsy did not full explain the imaging concerns, then repeat biopsy may be necessary. The physician who performed your biopsy is responsible for this correlation.
