Pain and illness: Usually gradual onset mid abdominal discomfort that gets worse and moves to the right lower abdomen, getting worse over 24-48 hours. Usually do not feel like eating. Sometimes fever or vomiting. Painful abdomen to move around or walk.

Usually obvious...: Acute appendicitis usually causes severe acute rlq abdominal pain. May be associated with fever. You will not be able to get comfortable and the pain may radiate to the belly button or sometimes the upper abdomen. It may be associated with a change in bowel and vomiting. If you think you might have acute appendicitis, go to the nearest ed. Good luck!
