What are ways to get rid of fluid in the knee besides taking ibuprofen?

Depends: Ibuprofen will not get rid of the fluid, just provide pain relief. If the fluid is in excess, your doctor can drain it with a needle.

Find source: The fluid is there for a reason. You need to first figure out why you have swelling to begin with especially if not going away with rest and otc meds. Other than rest, ice and avoidance of aggravating activities you may need to have it looked at.
