Ibuprofen: Unfortunately I don't have an age or sex on you so my answer is limited - but the maximum DAILY dose of ibuprofen is 2400 mgs usually dosed in 800mg three times or 600 mg 4 times a day or the OTC version of 200 up to 12 times a day. 1600 mg is a large dose but if taken as a one time "loading dose" with food should be safe. but do take it with food and the is assuming no medical problems
