Not the only option: These can be drained and injected with steroids and an old treatment was to hit it with a big book and pop it. These work to varying degrees.

No: Depending on location it can be asspirated but chances are small it will stay away. Splints and anti-inflamatories are used by some when the cyst hurts to decrease pain. Sometimes they spontaneously rupture. Lastly if it doesn't hurt just leave it alone.

Ganglion cyst: If it bothers you, you can have it drained or removed surgically. They can spontaneously resolve as well. Bracing/immobilizing the area can decrease the size of the cyst. If it doesn't bother you, then leave it alone.
