Decrease sensitivity: When dentin is exposed there are a few things that can reduce sensitivity. Use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Add a Fluoride rinse to your regimen. Your dentist or hygienist can apply desensitizing agents to the area at your next appt. If the defect is large, a tooth colored filling can be placed as well. Hope that helps.
