Stye?: If the ball is red and has some swelling, it is some variation on a stye. Use very hot compresses 3 times daily and keep reheating to get 5-10 minutes of heat each time. If not gone in a week, see a doctor. Eye drops may help, or you may need it removed.

Chalazion: You have a cystic lesion, which sometimes follows a stye, called a chalazion. If small you can ignore it but if it is noticeable or a bother, check with your ophthalmologist who can remove it in a simple office procedure.
