Side effect: Local muscle soreness and inflammation can be a side effect of immunizations. Applying ice & pain relievers such as tylenol (acetaminophen) or anti inflammatory such as Ibuprofen can improve symptoms. Of course if these symptom persist or worsen follow up with your doctor.

Usually get flu shot, arm usually hurts after. This year, shot in arm, some leaked out when needle withdrawn and no arm pain afterwards. Does leaking mean vaccine not deep enough or not enough quantity of vaccine? Should I have redone? Thank you!
