Teething: In general teething starts at 6 months of age but could be sooner or later in the first year. If tooth does not erupt by end of first year then you should see a pediatric dentist for a consult. However i wouldn't worry now since the baby is only 3 months old.

Not long to wait.: The average age is 6months for the first tooth to arrive. Remember this is an average. Some kids take a little longer and some are really early. Watch for excess drooling, crankiness, and gum tenderness in the lower front jaw area as an indicator of progress . He will also want to chew on everything he can put into his mouth. Enjoy!

6 months: Most children will start teething around 6 months of age, but some children can have teeth at birth and start teething much earlier while some children may not start teething until close to their first birthday. All of the above situations are still within the normal limits for an infant.
