Cough: Cough is often multifactorial. A persistent cough after viral infection is not unusual because there are typically other irritants that keep your airway inflamed. See your doctor to be sure there are not other factors contributing to your cough.

Unlikely: Post viral cough usually lasts 2-3 weeks after the other cold symptoms have resolved. Consider other causes such as mycoplasma, pertussis, cough variant asthma, reflux, post nasal drainage, or neurogenic.
