Pituitary: 5htp help the body produce more seratonin. This is a neurotransmitter in the brain and is not produced from the pituitary. Most of our seratonin is made in the gut and the remainder synthesized in the neurons of the central nervous system. Sam-e is a methyl doner to the system and should not interfere with your testing.
