I am a 41 yr. old female. 5 ft tall & 98 lbs. just received x-ray report stating severe spondylosis in mid cervical spine. what does this mean. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spondylosis: Spondylosis is age related changes to the spine. This is not a disease and happens to everyone as they age. There is loss of water content of the disks, loss of disk height leading to bulging of the disks and narrowing of the spinal canal and foramen (areas where nerves exit the spine. This can lead to pressure on the spinal cord and disks. Ask to see a spine specialist to evaluate.
