Just Hemorrhoids?: The real long term issue is whether the bleeding is just hemorrhoids or could it me something more serious? The list of alternative problems is long but the most concerning are possible cancer of the rectum or anus. Most people think these problems would be painful but usually not until they are very large. Anything more than an occasional spot on the toilet paper should be evaluated.
