Big toe : Could be a number of reasons. From your age and gender, it could be gout, capsulitis, arthritis, overuse injury, stress fracture, or even an ingrown nail. There could be many reasons but its best to get it checked out if the pain does not subside.

Joint Pain: You may have hallux limitus or rigidus which restricts the range of motion to that joint. You could have other things like capsulitis and many other possibilities . See you local podiatrist.
