Very brisk motion: The ankle jerk or achilles tendon reflex tests the L5 + s1 nerve roots. Striking the achilles tendon with a reflex hammer rsults in an involuntary pointing of the foot. With hyperreflexia the motion is brisk, exargerated and quick.

Ankle Relex : The best way i discribe it is a violent dorsiflextion of the foot where foot jerks toward the leg.
