If depressed patients > likely forego procedures due to pessimism, are medicated depressed patients more likely to say okay due to iatrogenic optimism?

Medical complaints: Depressed patients are more sensitive to pain and complain of medical problems more often. They are at risk of undergoing more unnecessary medical diagnostic procedures and starting pain medications than other patients due to the severity of their complaints. The psychiatric treatment would decrease the intensity of their problems and improve their tolerance to procedures if they are needed.
