Yes: Sometimes it can be from repetitive forceful contact to the back of the teeth, yeast infection (thrush), geographic tongue, or lichen planus. See dentist or ent.

Migratory Glossitis: Burning mouth syndrome can be treated by a dentist rx! usually fungal...Hope it gets better fast!

My tongue/jaw has been twitching for over 4 months. Nothing happens when the muscles are at rest, but if I flex my tongue or shift my jaw so that my canines touch, my tongue or the whole jaw will start twitching uncontrollably. Any ideas for causes?
