Glossitis: A fissured, cracked, and irritated tongue is commonly called glossitis. It could be due to irritation from dentures, dental work, foods, medications you take, geographic tongue, fungal infection, and other issues. Best bet is to see your dentist and an ENT to get their input into your situation.
