Retention?: You could have urinary retention, which can be caused by many different problems. It could also be a bladder infection. As a female (i assume from your name), retention or incomplete emptying of the bladder can be caused by pelvic organ prolapse, which can also present with the same symptoms. Check with your physcian or gynecologist for evaluation and treatment.

Many possibilities: Bladder infection, pelvic mass (growth), painful bladder syndrome, pelvic floor hypertonicity disorder (pelvic muscle spasm), bladder stone, or urinary retention. Recommend evaluation by urogynecologist or urologist.
