Proteinuria: In kidney disease, large protein losses in urine causes cloudy urine. That is what you are trying to remember, probably. However, you also could have other reasons like urine infection. Make sure your doc evaluates your urinalysis. Also, much intake of vegetables and dairy products (like milk shake) together, causes cloudy urine due to excretion of particulate undissolved phosphorus in urine.
